Seaside treasures

Just returned from a week in (or is it on?) Florida's panhandle. Some people come back with seashells and t-shirts after a seaside vacation. I returned from this trip with loads of photos to begin new paintings. If the warm turquoise water and soft sugary sand weren't so completely perfect and just steps from the back door, I would have happily spent every day driving around taking pictures. Can't wait to start painting.

Take a peek at the rest of the photos on flickr.

Just came across these absolutely incredible drawings by the artist, Hollis Brown Thornton. Can't believe it took me so long to discover this work. Permanent marker on paper. Are you kidding? It just blows my mind.

New work in progress

I'm very excited about a new little painting I've started based on a photo taken by Victoria from sfgirlbybay blog. A refreshing change to my usual palette.

Analyze This

Thanks to Avril Loreti for suggesting I try Google Analytics on my etsy shop. I'm a sucker for these interactive maps and wish I had started sooner. That said, I think if they give any more detailed information about who is looking at what, it could get pretty creepy. For now though, I'm officially obsessed.

Stacks of Seconds on Sale

SPRING CLEANING SALE: Here's a great deal for those on a tight budget right now. I have a stack of prints that I consider 2nds because of minor flaws on the white borders. The images themselves are perfect and will look just lovely once matted - especially appealing because I am offering them at 1/2 to 2/3 OFF my regular prices (depending on how many you get). They are going fast, but there are still a whole bunch of beauties left. Send me a convo through my etsy shop with the ones you're interested in and I'll let you know if I have them as seconds. If I do, I will describe the flaws and post a special listing for you if you want them.
